Promoting Volunteerism in Our Neighborhoods

Bright House Networks provides products and services that are used every day throughout our communities. We are dedicated to developing and supporting the areas we serve through volunteerism. Our employees are encouraged to give back, and help others with their time and talent as well as support the many local priorities of where we work and live.

Developing Our Community

Bright House Sports and Entertainment Facilities

Bright House Networks is a proud supporter of local development, family entertainment and events. We sponsor a variety of activities and venues. In Florida, on the University of Central Florida’s campus, thousands of students, alumni and fans can attend sporting events at the Bright House Networks Stadium. In Tampa Bay, sports fans can head over to Bright House Field. The field is the spring training home of a Major League baseball team and the permanent home of the area’s minor league franchise. Outside of Florida, we partner with the city of Bakersfield, California to bring high quality family entertainment at the Bright House Networks Amphitheatre. Across all of our Bright House Networks service areas you will find local events happening that we sponsor along with other community partners. Click to open link

At Bright House Networks, safety is important and we are doing our part to help keep neighborhoods and residents safe. We provide basic neighborhood safety training to more than 500 of our field service employees. Should they witness any unusual activities, they can report them to the proper authorities.

Recognizing Those Who Do Good Work in the Community

21st Century Star Teacher Awards

Every year, Bright House Networks salutes and rewards educators who use cable programming and its resources to enhance the quality of education. In 2010, we recognized 25 teachers who developed creative learning experiences for hundreds of students throughout the areas we serve.

Bringing Resources to the Areas We Serve

C-Span StudentCam

Each year, Bright House Networks partners with C-SPAN on their national video documentary competition, C-SPAN StudentCam. The competition inspires students to think seriously about issues that affect our communities and our nation. Students are asked to create a short video documentary that responds to a specific topic. Winning students are eligible to win up to $62,000 in cash prizes.
