Watch a screening of an episode of TV One’s “The Black List” at the Bakersfield Museum of Art, Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:30pm. The event includes a panel discussion hosted by April Ryan, a 26-year journalism veteran, who has been the White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) since January of 1997, covering three Presidents.
Join us for Bright House Networks Family Night at the Bakersfield Condors on Saturday, February 25th at 7:00pm.. Bright House Networks subscribers can purchase $7.00 terrace level admission tickets for the February 25th game at the Rabobank Arena Box Office. Bring your camera; there will be a special guest making an appearance for the Bright House Networks Family Night, “Bugs Bunny”!
The Bright Futures Educators Grants program will be launching soon in Bakersfield. What is the Bright Futures Educator Grant program? It is an on-going program to assist with classroom needs. The program will be available to educators who teach in k-12 public or private schools in the Bright House Networks Bakersfield Division’s service areas. Each year, Bright House Networks partners with C-SPAN on their national video documentary competition, C-SPAN StudentCam. The competition inspires students to think seriously about issues that affect our communities and our nation. Students are asked to create a short video documentary that responds to a specific topic. Winning students are eligible to win up to $62,000 in cash prizes. View Full Details!
