BRIGHT HOUSE NETWORKS DONATES TIME TO BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF KERN COUNTY WITH SUMMER COMPUTER CLASSES
Month Long Safe Summer Surfing Classes Offered to Kids at Boys & Girls Club
Bakersfield, CA (July 16, 2008) –Bright House Networks announced that they are partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County by providing “Safe Summer Surfing” computer classes for kids at the Armstrong Youth Center, 801 Niles Street, during the month of July. A series of eight classes focus on Safe Searches for teens every Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. and Safe Games for kids every Thursday from 1-2 p.m.
On Tuesdays from 1-2 p.m., a representative from Bright House Networks is instructing teens on how to do safe searches on the computer. The teens are working on a genealogy project that will require them to search family histories.
On Thursdays from 1-2 p.m., a Bright House Networks representative is teaching kids, 12 and under, game applications and tools that are offered by Road Runner high-speed online. These educational games help to introduce kids to computers and their uses.
